General Educational Facilities

FACILITY GOALS: To cultivate and enable the youth of India while providing the children around Dervan opportunities to develop to their full potential. The Trust has initiated several educational facilities at Dervan. The first class initiated in 1997 with the Primary School, which has now reached 9th standard. The school currently has over 600 students enrolled. The curriculum will be extended to provide students quality education up to graduation level. The TRUST’s vision is to provide a well rounded education at a reasonable cost to as many students possible, in the Konkan region, which is one of the most under privileged areas of the state. SCHOOLS:
Three schools have been established to enable the children in pursuit of their dreams.
- Garden School (Nursery)
Kindergarten – Senior KG - Primary Schools (English Medium)
1st Grade – 6th Grade -
Secondary Schools (English Medium)
6th Grade – 10th Grade

Although academic achievement is essential to the education process found within the schools, the children are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities that will help better shape each as a productive asset to society. These activities provided under the guidance of expert trainers include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Training in Gymnastics
- Aerobics
- Malkhamb
- Horse riding
- Shooting
- Classical Dance (Katthak)
- Other traditional Indian Sports (Lezim) etc.

*Apart from the time and energy lost in the journey to and from the facility, some of the families are not in a position to bear the recurring costs of such transportation. In order to take care of such children, the TRUST has established two separate Hostels for Boys & Girls, on Campus, to provide need-based housing assistance to students, at a reasonable cost, in its commitment to EDUCATION.
