Introduction –

Samarth Nursing School started in the year 2001 with 10 students of 1 ½ year ANM course.  In the year 2002 three years duration RGNM old course had been started with 20 candidates.  Currently school is  successfully running 6th batch of RGNM & 11th batch of RANM with total enrollment of 100 students.

Courses –

  1. RANM (1 ½ Years)
  2. RGNM (3 ½ Years)
  3. PBBSc (2 Year)

Result Details –

Yearly exams are been conducted by MAHARASHTRA NURSING COUNCIL.

2002 – 05   20 Students appeared for RGNM Old Course.  Out of which 15 students attained   1st class with 100% result.
2003 – 06 20 Students appeared for RGNM Old Course.  Out of which 14 students attained   1st class with 100% result.
2004 – 07  19 Students appeared for RGNM New Course.  Out of which 2 students got Distinction & remaining 17 students attained 1st class with as usual of 100% results.

Similarly results for RANM from the year 2001 – 2007 (9 batches) school have achieved 100% results.

Activities –

During the course duration students are posted for various specialist clinical experiences as per the course curriculum at –

  • Ratnagiri Mental Hospital
  • Chiplun Nagar Parishad
  • Cottage Hospital, Kamathe
  • Janata Maternity Hospital, Chiplun
  • Vahal PHC

Students are encouraged to participate in extra Curricular Activities on –

  • Nurses Day
  • WHO Day
  • World Population Day
  • AIDS Day
  • Nutrition Day
  • Mental Health Week
  • Annual Gathering

 They perform Role Plays, Puppet Shows, Health Talks, Presentations, Posters, Rangoli etc.


Students are also exposed to clinical & social activities conducted by our institute like –

  • Malnutrition Camps
  • Ladoo Vatap
  • Hemoglobin Camps
  • Blood Donation Camps
  • Cleft Lip & Palate Camps
  • Pulse Polio Camps
  • Vitamin – A Supplement Camps

 

  • Many of the students got a rare opportunity to get experience under the foreign experts Medical Team from UK & Spain.
  • In November-05 institute had successfully conducted the MAHARASHTRA NURSING COUNCIL workshop on ‘Evaluation System for 1st & 2nd year RGNM’.  Nearly 100 teaching faculty all over Maharashtra had participated.
  • In November-05 two GNM staffs from our institution had been deputed for PBBSc program to KLES institute of Health Sciences, Belgaum.  After successfully completion they have joined as Nursing Tutors in our institute.
  • Recently 3 DNEA Nursing Tutors & 1 GNM Nursing Staff are deputed for PBBSc program in our own newly started Samarth Nursing College.
  • One of the Nursing School Staff had been deputed by our institute to participate in ‘All India SOMI Conference’ held in the month of October-07 at Ahmedabad.

 

Future Plans –

Massive plans are underway to commence MSc Nursing Program & other specialist courses.
