Introduction of New Teaching & Training Techniques –

From the year 2005 – 2006 research mediated projects are assigned to the 3rd semester students of each batch as a part of Hospital training project.  The students have successfully worked on these projects, completed & presented them before the examiners.
Subjects used for the Projects are –

  • Effectiveness of disinfectants (with respect to bacterial growth)
  • Effect of Preservatives on examination of urine.
  • Study of Sensitivity pattern of various bacteria to antibodies.
  • Prevalence of Malnutrition in children in the nearby area of BKLW Hospital.
  • Biochemical changes in the 35 days stored CPDA blood.
  • Estimation of sugar from saliva.
  • Study of Oligodynamic effect.
  • Co-relation of blood groups with Cleft Lip / Cleft Palate cases.

Student Development –

  1. Many of the successfully passed students are absorbed in the trust’s own hospital.
  2. Two students from batch 2004-05 were sponsored for advanced course in Histo & Cyto Techniques at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
  3. In 2007-2008 two students from nearby rural area are sponsored by the trust for PGDMLT course.

Inspections –

Regular inspections are been conducted by MSBTE & DTE for each semester.  Till date no major objections have been stated by inspection committees or by the MSBTE & DTE.
