A WHITE ANGEL

"A White Angel came and operated my son and gave him his sight".

Said the mother of a boy, Roshan Mahadev Patade, who is 9 years old. The IIIrd std. Pupil had a bad cataract in both his eyes. He could not see anything written on the black board. This was brought to the notice of his parents during the school Health check up camp. His father was a casual worker and a marginal farmer. He went to Primary Health Centre and District Health Centre but got the reply that such operations are not done here. He did not dare to contact the private hospitals because of his poor economic conditions.

Lastly he saw the ray of hope through the newspaper that BKLW Hospital is celebrating a surgical week where U.K. Doctors will conduct operations on minimum charges or free of cost according to the economical conditions. The boy was admitted and got operated. Both his cataracts were removed and he could see clearly. He regained his lost sight and got a new life. Tears rolled from the eyes of his parents but they were the tears of Joy, Joy, & Joy and that time his mother uttered "A white angle came and gave sight to my son". His father and mother thanked Walawalkar Hospital authorities for arranging such camps, which are benefiting the poorest of the poor people at very affordable rate.
